Promotional Cards for DayOne in Palo Alto

Since the New Year, I’ve rekindled my partnership with my friend Christine Szeto who is an amazing newborn, family, all-around fun to be with photographer. I love working on design projects she sends my way and got the opportunity to put a promo card together for her a few weeks ago. I’m excited about the new clients * i hope * she’ll be getting because of these cards.. they’ll be featured at the DayOne Center in Palo Alto’s Town & Country Center off of Embarcadero & El Camino.

holiday parties… and invites!

last saturday, i had the privilege to help co-host a neighborhood meet & greet party at my neighbor’s (and good friend of course) house, which turned out to be a huge success! people from our street who had lived here for 20+ years were able to meet the two new families who just moved in weeks ago. only thing, there was way too much food leftover!

Here was the invitation that we dropped off in people’s mailboxes. Next time, we’ll make sure to put them in envelopes and hand-write the house numbers on them so that people won’t get them confused with junk mail! i hope my design wasn’t so unappealing that they just threw it in the trash!

christmas time is here

i’m a procrastinator and christmas cards always only get done when I’m pressed for time. we found a good shot of our 19-month-old boy we thought we could use for our card mailing this year… stay tuned for a few more holiday themed photo cards!

custom but personal

i’m realizing lately that my emphasis on designing event stationery is not only that pieces are designed custom for each client but each piece can be as personal as you’d want them to be… so much so that I can take your vacation pics (if you so wish to share them with me) and turn them into stationery! see my sister’s wedding set for an example…

the scene, the beach chairs, and conch shell she kept from her vacation were all incorporated into her wedding stationery for a special touch.

cha-foster wedding set

this wedding set was one of my first where the bride-to-be and I had the same vision of having her custom logo ‘stamped’ on every part of the wedding. i had special logo ‘stickers’ made for her welcome boxes (it was of course a destination wedding), favor tags, wedding maps, wedding schedule card, programs, menus, table cards, place cards and of course the save-the-dates, wedding invitations & rsvp cards. we were even able to get personalized thank you cards letterpressed at the time of her wedding invitation job so that she had a full set of stationery ready for her once she opened up all her wedding gifts!

evening attire

the below design was custom made for a ten-year wedding anniversary. my client wanted something completely different from a typical wedding invitation to give her guests the feeling of a fun, night out on the town to celebrate their nuptials. they had their celebration at the same place where they got married under a beautiful SF starry night, fog-free!
