Can you find the difference?

Pretend the two pictures below are in a magazine and you’re trying to find the difference between the two… did you find them? Which one do you like better?

Red Egg & Ginger Party Invites

I’ve been working on some concepts for the Minted challenge and decided to put together some invitations together as well since, well.. most people need them before they begin thinking of decorating for their party! This simple, red egg + ginger + baby pic is my favorite so far, but I have some other full-bleed photo ones I’ll be posting shortly.

Gearing up for Minted’s Wedding Challenge

A new minted challenge will be starting up next week, and I’m trying to get my design ideas ready in time for submissions. It’s been a while since I participated in their design challenges, but I’m hopeful that this time around I can at least get some feedback from the other designers out there. Here is a new concept I’ve been working on, that’s still needs a bit of work. I’m calling this my “Young Love Wedding Invitation”

Color Matching? No problem!

It’s hard to find that perfect swatch of color for your invitations that will match your table settings, bridesmaids gowns, or favor gowns- but that’s what you can count on when you are interested in getting custom invitations designed by me! This elegant, classy wedding set was the perfect example of what white lemon designs is in business for… making a wedding invitation set completely tailored to fit the bride’s every desire- color, fonts, design… all of it!

Busy with Baby…

I apologize for the long stint of silence, but it’s been a very eventful few months as we recently welcomed a newborn into our family. Since February, we’ve been a family of four (actually six if you count our two huskies) and it’s been non-stop ever since. With the new one in tow, we were able to get some newborn shots before he plumped up to fit 12 month old boy clothing! Below is the announcement we sent out with pictures shot by our preferred newborn photographer, Christine Szeto.

Monogrammed Wedding

Thought I’d post a recent concept for those of you who might be interested in using your initials for an upcoming wedding invitation. Centering the monogram (with your first initial & your fiancee’s first initial) then personalizing the bottom of the invite with specially drawn flowers that you might be using in your wedding will give your guests a taste of what’s to come on your big day!

dogwoods & redwoods

another first-draft concept I’d like to share is a more flowery themed card but is still closely related to the redwood theme… the redwood dogwood flower is can be found among the trees my friend will be surrounded by at her wedding this September, and I thought she might like this modern design, featuring one of her wedding colors!

a redwood wedding

it’s been so much fun working with different couples on their soon-to-be nuptials and hear what kinds of ideas and personalities I can try to incorporate in a wedding invitation! i thought i’d post a recent concept i’ve been working on for an old high school friend. she and her fiancee are both vets and are getting married in woodside, california among the beautiful redwoods and absolutely love creatures of all kinds (hence, the squirrel & newt…).. so far, this one is my favorite but we’ve still got a lot of tweaking to do!

stationery from your home… literally!

this last project I was able to work on in 2011 showcases a beautiful home and a very personalized stationery set with a monogram signature included in the design. The detail involved in this illustration was impeccable once it was letterpressed onto the paper- you have to see this card in person! my client wanted her home featured in her stationery set, along with a ‘handwritten’ feel of her & her husband’s initials. and, to make it even more custom, I drew an oak tree that could be found on her street to accent the house. sage green is her favorite color so that’s what we went with!
